This is a desirable and colorful Bromeliad that does well in the garden. It forms a nice cluster of colorful plants. They don’t get ba get very tall – about 18 inches. Color is as red and green. Like all Bromeliads, after it flowers it produces pups and, in a couple of years, you have a good sized clump. You can removed pups and plant them elsewhere in the garden. They do need overhead water – so just drip is not good for all bromeliads. In coastal areas, it’ll take some sun. If you are further inland, figure strong filtered light will work.
