This hybrid was created by taking male pollen from E. lehmannii and applying it to a female cone of E. longifolius, the blue form. This is an F1 hybrid. Both of the parent species are frrom the Eastern Cape region in South Africa. E. longifolius makes a medium sized mature cycad while the E. lehmannii is much smaller. So, this hybrid should be small to medium sized when mature and have blue foliage. It’ll want full sun along the coast and less far inland. Cold tolerance will be down to about 22 degrees F. These plants are shippable by mail order. They are in one and two gallon pots with caudexes of one inch. I have a handfull of them. Because all are not identical, first come, first serve on thee.
