This is a desirable and colorful Bromeliad that does well in the garden. It also gets quite wide with a two foot span leaftip to leaftip. But, it doesn’t get very tall. Color is as blackish purple color with hints of red. Like all Bromeliads, after it flowers it produces pups and, in a couple of years, you have a good sized clump. It is difficult to find. In coastal areas, it’ll take some sun. If you are further inland, figure strong filtered light will work. We’re putting 5 gallon size on Sale.
