This New World suckering shade palm has pinnate leaves and never gets much above 8 to 9 feet. This is the reason it’s so popular. It is sought out as one of the most popular interior palms. This has been the case for about 100 years. A good thing is that it does fit inside the home of the average house without hitting the ceiling. Outdoors, it wants filtered light and is cold hard into the mid, perhaps lower 20’s F. The 15g on sale here are about ten or more years old and locally grown. They shouldn’t get any taller and have about as many canes as a 15g pot will support. And, they are much more sturdy and hardy than imported plants. They’ve seen all of our cold weather.
