This fairly rare and seldom available green cycad is native to south-western Australia and is known for forming no trunk or minimal trunk. Its is rarely over six to eight feet tall. Leaves are green with fine leaflets. Leaf length is five to six feet with a gentle arch. Sometimes leaf color is a gray-green. Leaves are fairly glossy and it has smaller cones than most other landscape species. It tolerates full coastal sun and would prefer at least half day sun in most areas. Cold tolerance is well into the twenties F. It likes well-draining sandy soil. We have two 15g plants available, both the same size. Caudexes are 8 to 9 inches. Age on these is about fourteen years. They can be shipped mail order in a large box. The plants on Special are shown in the first ten photos below, each separately.
