As a nursery, we’re not a specialty Hibiscus grower. But, I’ve always loved these plants. Even older species, around for quite a while, add color and charm to the garden. And, newer varieties are amazing. The reason we backed off from Hibiscus is that they attract white fly problems. This was especially present a decade ago but has not been a problem since that time. So, we are growing some cool varieties presently. Most are from cuttings from collections of desirable plants. The one on sale here will have large yellow flowers with red throats in summer – fall. The full name for this species is: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis hula girl.
