Palm enthusiasts love this rapid growing palm known as the Ribbon Palm from Australia. It has this common name because the leaflets are dependent like “hanging ribbons”. For it’s height of thirty to forty feet, it has a very thin trunk and leaflets are green in color and narrow for the genus. Leaf stems, like on most Livistona, are armed. It is a very attractive fan palm that many can grow easily. Cold hardiness is about 18 degrees F. It likes full sun. We’re putting three to four year old seedlings on sale below. Most have about five to six leaves are are in need or repotting – getting too big for their pots.
