PHILODENDRON SPECIES

We have propagated these plants from a plant we got from a botanical garden. We do not know for sure the species. It’s a great growing Philodendron that has about 12 to 14 inch arrowhead shaped leaves with pink to red veining on the ventral side. The dorsal leaves are entirely green. Leaf stems are yellow-green and firm. The plant shown below is going into flower. It has tolerated a freeze here at the nursery. It wants filtered light, not hot direct sun. It can grow in a pot if there’s something it can attach to. Or, in the garden, it can grow up a pos, on a fence or up a tree trunk that doesn’t shed its bark. These 5 gallon plants have five to ten leaves and are four to five years old. The garden photos show climbing Philodendron growing up anything they can find
