This rare type of King Palm is native to Australia and was named after a curator of a botanical garden there. The crown shaft is green, underside of the leaves silver and the leaflets lack ramenta. It can take sun or part sun along the coast and gets to 50 feet tall. Cold hardiness is about 25 degrees F. Garden photo by Luke Nancarrow.
