Canna Lilies are a tropical or semi-tropical perennial plant. They are not a true Lily but called a Lily. They are probably most closely related to Gingers. I’ve found the foliage is a bit less appealing in winter. Then, in summer when it’s warm, they do their thing with rapid growth of pretty foliage as shown here and a prolonged display of colorful blossoms. They can take our coastal sun or part sun. I have several types/varieties available. I’m showing three varieties below. All have stunning blossoms in summer. The Tropicana is known for its colorful leaves. Blossom colors on Canna vary from red to pink to apricot to yellow and more. Be aware that a Canna purchased now in winter will not look its best until growth resumes in spring. We restock on these in spring.
