This is a great garden or interior palm. It is native to southern Mexico. Like Chamaedorea benziei above, it was named after a Southern California palm enthusiast. It has green leaves, one inch thick stems, leaves that are about 4 to 5 feet long and a mature height of 12 to 14 feet. Leaves are entirely green as are the ringed trunks. It’s a good growing palm that wants filtered light. Cold hardiness is about 25 degrees F.
