This hybrid palm was created by an elderly enthusiast in Thailand from Queen Palm pollen placed on receptive flowers of S. schizophylla. The hybrid produced is beautiful and much prettier than either parent. It really doesn’t resemble either parent and is totally different than the Queen Palm. It takes full sun, can be grown in some desert areas and only gets to a height of 20 to 25 feet. It is lush and green and cold hardy to the lower 20’s. It is near impossible to find and will NOT be available in the future. These are always expensive. As we have very few of these, if they sell out we may have to make them special order if available.
