This South African cycad is most known for the color of its cones. Females are red and males are orange or orange-red. We do not know the sex of the last plant below as of yet but it should cone within a few years. Mature these are a medium sized green cycad that doesn’t really form trunk. This species prefers filtered light or a little sun. Cold hardiness is about 22 degrees F. Some of these sizes can be mail ordered.
