This rare cycad species is from Tanzania, Africa. It is medium sized. We think that our identification is correct, but these leaves are very leathery and hairy. So, it could be something else. Whatever it is for sure, it’ll be super attractive. Anticipate a medium sized mature plant with perhaps six feet of trunk. The leaflets on sclavoi are cupped – your fingers fit right in the groves. It wants sun and is cold hardy to the mid-twenties F. or lower. Container is a 24 inch box, caudex size 10 inches. Remember, this species is extremely rare and hard to find. This is one gorgeous cycad for the garden!
