This genus is native to Australia and has two different species. This species shown below is Lepidozamia hopei. It is much more rare and hard to find than L. peroffskyana. It has wider leaflets and is slower growing. But, over centuries, plants get above homes and up to about forty feet tall. Leaves are long. Right on the coast, this species can take half or maybe full sun. It will work it’s way into the sun as it ages. Inland, you’d grow it is filtered light. Cold hardiness is probably about 20 degrees F.
