Like the red form of this Philodendron above, this plant doesn’t climb. Rather, it forms a larger terrestrial type of plant that slowly inches across the garden floor. The leaves are 18 inches long, heavy texture and mildly veined. Around the newly emerging leaf is a red sheath as shown in the first photo. This is a filtered light species that tolerates temperatures into the mid to upper twenties F.
