This is a species of single trunk Pinanga that does fairly well in Southern California. It gets to a height of about twelve feet and has exotic green leaves with wide leaflets. The trunk is thicker than Pinanaga coronata above and can get to about 4 inches thick with a swollen crown shaft. Leaflets are a bit irregular in width. It wants filtered light and is cold hardy into the upper twenties F. It’s another great understory palm for our area.
