PRITCHARDIA SPECIES THE HAWAIIAN PALMS

Pritchardia are a single trunk tropical fan palm. They are native to Hawaii and some Pacific Islands. We only grow the Hawaiian varieties as they are more cold hardy. We have about ten species, all from Hawaii. They are huge plants in 15g pots. Some have been moved into boxes. All our 15g size are very large for their containers, many way overhead in their pots. Below are example species. It is representative and, as you can see, no other nursery offers Pritchardias this big in 15g pots. Mature heights and appearances depend on species chosen, but expect a medium height and a cold tolerance of about 25 degrees. Tolerate coastal sun and have been outdoor grown. The 15 gallon we’re offering are about 15 years old and begging to get into the garden or a larger pot. The 25g below are the same batch that were merely repotted into 25 gallon containers. On the 15 gallons, we have about eight species available.
