Many folks like plants that don’t have a super thick trunk and don’t get too tall. Such is the case with this species. Ravenea glauca is native to Madagascar, has a thin six inch trunk and gets to a height of about 25 feet. Leaves are green and leaf stems are un-armed. Some people consider this palm to be like a large Pygmy Date but without the spines! It is a full sun plant in most areas and cold hardy to the upper teens to low 20’s F. Growth rate is pretty good. It is a very durable plant and easy to grow. Limited availability.
