This dwarf fan palm is known for its super cold hardiness – down to 0 degrees F – and for the long black needles on it’s rough trunk. It does sucker and forms a clump of individual plants. Mature height is about six to seven feet. It tolerates both coastal full sun and strong filtered light. It qualifies as one of the shorter palm trees around. BTW, the 45 gallon below is fruiting, making seeds and the biggest specimen we’ve ever offered for sale. Age estimated at 30 years.
