This is a semi-dwarf suckering fan palm that likes filtered light and rarely gets over eight feet. It is very slow growing with a cold hardiness to the upper teens F. Mature height is 7 to 8 feet. Rarely they’ll get taller. If you want a sun tolerant or taller Rhapis, consider Rhapis humilis. Raphis excelsa is a great patio or interior plant. The 15g plants (one shown below) are very nice, ready for home usage. We are also offering 1g, 5g and 25g sizes on Sale. As they are very slow growing, this species is never available at a cheap price. The 15 gallon shown here are at least 8 years old and the 25g are about 15 years old.
