The Asian Guava Tree – Psideium guajava – is a medium sized tree with green leaves and green edible fruit with pink centers. The fruit produced is quite large – known to weigh up to 2 pounds per fruit. So, one must prune the tree years so fruit is produced on stronger, more proximal branches. Expect a mature tree of about 15 feet at most. Asian Guava produce an amazing quantity of fruit. They’d like full sun and tolerate temperatures below a freeze. This is the first time I have offered these trees. Photo of the fruit is c/o Wikipedia.
