WIDE “TONGUE-LIKE” LEAVES
INTERESTING SPRING – SUMMER BLOSSOMS
This species is native to various regions of South Africa. It prefers filtered light but can tolerate some sun. Leaves are thick and green in color. In sun they are more of a lime green and shorter. Interesting blossoms emerge faithfully and are shown in a nursery plant below. Surprisingly, these are a bit difficult to find. They do tolerate cold into the mid-twenties or lower and are being grown in the SF Bay area with ease. The first four photos show the one gallon size on sale. Most are clustering with 2 to 3 plants per pot. They’ll be blossoming with two months.
