TOLERATES COASTAL SUN AND IS VERY IMPRESSIVE
This unusual and very difficult to find species of Philodendron is known for it’s absolute huge leaves that can be six feet of more in length. It has green leaves and thick strong stems. It can grow free standing or will climb to some extent. Or, trunks can crawl along the ground. It tolerates full coastal sun or strong filtered light. We’ve been told that this species can tolerate a freeze although little is known of its absolute cold tolerance. Its leaves are much large than Philodendron selloum. The garden photos below are c/o garden ubc, Pinterest and University of South Florida. We’re putting a limited number of 15 gallon on special. We only have them available every several years.
