SHOULD BE GREAT GROWING PLANT FOR PART SUN
This hybrid cycad was made by applying Cycas debaoensis pollen to the female cone of Cycas panzhihuaensis. Both parents are native to China. C. debaoensis is very sought after as it has multipinnate leaves. You’ll see on the third photo below the splitting of the simple leaflets. So far, it’s been an easy plant to grow. Anticipate giving it some coastal sun. It might even take full coastal sun. Far inland, I’d recommend a few hours of sun – morning or late day. In the ground, I suspect you’ll find it easy to grow. Just don’t overwater it. Good draining soil would be ideal. These cycads are in one gallon pots with caudexes of 1 to 2 inches. Mail order would be easy. In the third row of photos, the panzhihuaensis is the 7th photo and the 8th and 9th are the debaoensis.
