MEDIUM SIZE MATURE – LOVES SUN – RE-CURVED LEAVES

Encephalartos longifolius is from the Eastern Cape region of the Republic of South Africa. It is among the favorite species of this genus for almost all cycad enthusiasts. Leaf color varies from a dark green to brilliant blue – and everything in-between. The plant on Special is in a 15 gallon pot and has a caudex diameter of 7.5 inches. It is a shippable size. We predict its leaves will end up being blue-green. This is a full sun species along the coast with a cold hardiness of 22 degrees F. This plant will develop into a medium sized mature cycad over the years with potential for trunk in a lifetime of at least five feet. We have other sizes available for sale – both larger and smaller.
