MEDIUM SIZE MATURE
This interesting fan palm is native to Mexico down to Guatemala. It attains a height of thirty feet with a stout trunk of one foot in diameter. The most attractive thing about this palm are its circular leaves, with only partial division of the segments. It takes filtered light to full sun on the coast. Cold hardiness is into the mid to low twenties F. The leaves are a shiny green and the petioles are essentially un-armed. Habitat photo by J. Dobbs.
