RARE GRAY-GREEN SPECIES FROM MEXICO
COMPACT FORM, SMALLER MATURE, LOVES SUN & HEAT
This cycad is native to the area of Tamaulupis, Mexico. It has gray-green leaves which you can see in the photo below. Expect mature leaves about three feet long with narrow leaflets. Some consider this to be a variety of Dioon angustifolium. Expect a mature height of about six feet with a compact look. It loves sun and heat and should do well in the desert. Cold hardiness probably into the upper teens F.
