FULL SUN, COLD HARDY CYCAD
This Mexican cycad is a small to at most medium sized mature cycad. A several decades old plant will have a trunk of only about 18 inches. Leaves are green to gray-green. It takes full sun in all areas and is cold hardy to the mid to upper teens F. We have a fairly good assortment of sizes of this species along with many of the more rare sub-varieties as you’ll see below. We can ship these plants if they aren’t too large. And, in the desert, they do great in full sun! Col tolerance is into the upper teens F. and this is the only cycad species that can take full desert sun.
