NATIVE TO NORTHERN MEXICO AND BORDER AREAS IN THE U.S.
LOVES HEAT, BLUE COLOR, WATER CONSERVING
This blue succulent type plant is a sister plant to the popular Dasylirion longissiumum, the Mexican Grass Plant. It loves heat, sun and is water conserving. It is also very slow growing. The 15g we’re putting on special are well over ten years old – see first five photos below. It is an evergreen dwarf plant that never gets over about five feet tall. The trunk is moderately thick and below the blue-green foliage. The leaves are about an inch wide and are armed with barbs. Cold tolerance is into the upper twenties F. This is not an easy plant to locate.
