Alocasia are a group of tropical pLants that have diamond or heart shaped leaves. Some like sun, others shade. They are similar to Colocasia. There are over 80 types / hybrids of Alocasia. A.serendipity is known for its puckered dark green-black leaves (dorsal side) and prominently purple undersides. This is a hybrid species that is stunningly pretty inside and can be grown outside if you don’t get a freeze. Inside it wants good indirect light and outdoors filtered light with maybe a bit of direct sun. Leaf size mature is 2 to 3 feet. Leaves are also quite shiny. Older leaves tend to be more green. This species wants filtered light or a bit of sun. This size can be mail ordered, weather permitting.
