SILVER-RED LEAVES
WATER CONSERVING – LOVE HEAT AND SUN
Dyckia are are rare terrestrial Bromeliad. I.e., they live in the ground or nestle between rocks. As a group, they are much more cold tolerant than ordinary Bromeliads. There are reports of them surviving temperatures into the teens F. They also love full sun and blazing heat. The plants on special are old clumps of plants. Leaf color is silver with a hint of pink or red. I don’t recall the blossom color. I’d estimate the age of these clumps at more than ten years. They are in 2 or 3 gallon pots and can be mail ordered. Only a couple left in stock.
