This rare and different single trunk palm is from New Caledonia. It is being grown by many here. It gets to a mature height of 20 to 25 feet and has a green trunk and a white crown shaft. Cold tolerance is somewhere between 25 degrees F. and a freeze. It is slow growing and, along the coast, takes full sun although many grow it in part day sun.
