This New World suckering shade palm has pinnate leaves and never gets much above 8 to 9 feet. This is the reason it’s so popular. It’ fits below the ceilings of most homes. It is a suckering species with thin canes and leaves that are about three feet long with green leaflets. Outdoors, it wants filtered light and is cold hard into the mid, perhaps lower 20’s F. But, I’ve seen coastal residents growing it in near full sun – and they don’t look bad. The size on sale is our oversized 15g plants. Limited numbers.
