This suckering medium sized palm is native to various countries including Madagascar, Comoros Islands and Pemba Islands. It has a shorter stature if you grow it in our area. Maximal height is usually about 13 to 15 feet, rarely taller. Trunks are about 2 to 3 inches thick and leaves are green. There is a yellow color to the leaf bases and leaf stems. It wants coastal sun or strong filtered light. Cold hardiness is about 24 degrees F. In a series, it creates a great botanical barrier that’s difficult to see through. Below are 3 gallon plants but we usually have 7g, 15g and 20g plants available (see below for 20g size).
