This species is a larger, sun-loving, single trunk palm with a prominent, bright green crown shaft that gets to an average height of about forty feet. It has a swollen base, is quick growing and cold tolerant to about 25 degrees F. If you want a specimen palm that’s real showy, this species might be perfect. There is a scarcity of Royals right now (especially with size). We’re putting three sizes gallon on sale. This is a quick growing palm that has been doing great for growers in this area. Don’t be afraid to try a smaller size like a 5 gallon. With proper culture, it’ll grow very fast.
