This is a dwarf fan palm that does not sucker and gets to a mature height of six feet. Leaves are also small. It is native to the southeastern area of the U.S. It will put out blossoms that shoot up above the leaves. Females blossoms with black fruit and orange stems will thrust above the plants. It is very cold hardy to about 15 degrees F. and can be grown in sun or shade.
