This typically single trunk tree fern is native to Southeastern Australia and Tasmania. It is much slower growing than the Australian Tree Fern above and has a mature height typically of 8 to 10 feet. Trunks are usually more thin than the Australian Tree Fern – estimate four to six inches. Leaves are also shorter. This plant likes a bit of sun or filtered light and also loves water. Cold tolerance is 25 degrees F. or lower.
