This single trunk pinnate palm is native to Queensland, Australia. Many enthusiasts in Southern CA have been successfully growing it. It reaches a mature height of 30 to 35 feet and has a remarkably thin trunk – usually about four to five inches thick. The crown shaft is silver-green. Leaflets are green and leaf length is about six feet or a bit more. Growth rate is medium. It can tolerate part day sun and likes to “reach up” to the sun through canopy. Cold tolerance is estimated to be about 25 degrees F. The juvenile one gallon are being put on sale. This size would be easy to ship.
