This medium sized cycad is native to Oaxaca, Mexico. It is a sun loving species that can get to about 15 feet tall in many decades. Leaves are green and leaflets have spines. In cross section, the leaves are flat. New leaves are upright while older leaves relax down. Cold hardiness is down to the low 20’s F. Mature photo by Botany Deptment of the University of Wisconsin.
