VERY BLUE COLORED LEAVES – SLOW GROWING
This species of blue fan palm is not only known for its intense blue color but also for the fact that it is extremely cold hardy. It goes down to about 16 degrees. It is native to Mexico, specifically to Baja Mexico. It prefers dry heat and is a challenge to grow in humid areas. Mature plants take 30 years or more to reach a height of 20 to 25 feet. The trunks are stout but clean. These 25g plants have nice color and are sun acclimated. They are begging to be planted into someone’s garden. This species is also very drought tolerant. The plants we’re putting on special are intensely blue 15g plants, large for their containers. The plants on special are shown in the first four photos. I’m also showing a 25 gallon and a larger boxed plant.
Just mention this Blog Special to get this nice discount. On the mature trees below, note the prominent blue color of the leaves. This is the hallmark of this species. We have very limited numbers. |
