UNDERSTORY DWARF GREEN CYCAD WITH WIDER LEAFLETS
FILTERED LIGHT – NEVER A BIG PLANT
Ceratozamia microstrobila is a dwarf cycad species that has rather wide and short leaflets. It never gets over about three to perhaps four feet tall. Mature coning sized caudexes are smaller than a softball. Leaves are green with perhaps a bit of sheen. Stems are reddish-brown. It wants filtered light and is cold hardy to the low 20’s F. The garden photo is care of local cycad enthusiast L.G. in Vista, CA
