This fascinating hybrid was created by taking male pollen from E. princeps and applying it to a female cone of E. longifolius, the blue form. This is an F1 hybrid. Both the parents are from South Africa and both were blue. My hopes are that the princeps will give it the beautiful blue color and glamour. We’re hoping that the E. longifolius seed bearer will give it stacking of the leaflets and very curved leaves. But, no one can be sure what this hybrid will look like. They are healthy plants on Special in one & two gallon pots with caudexes of 1-2 inches. They will want coastal sun and be cold hardy into the low 20’s F. This size would be easy to mail order. We only have a handful of these – first come, first serve.
