This single trunk pinnate palm is native to the Vanuatu Islands. It can attain a mature height of over fifty feet. Leaves are green, about eight feet long with somewhat drooping leaflets. The trunk is gray in color and medium thickness. This species makes bright red seeds. It can tolerate full coastal sun and has been grown well by some in Southern California. But, because of it’s tropical nature, should only be tried by those in good climates. We’re offering our 5 gallon size on sale. They’ve done well with our temperatures down to about 32 degrees F.
