This quick growing Alocasia reaches height of over six feet and can tolerate sun along the coast. Or, part day sun or strong filtered light inland is preferred. Leaves are large, up to three feet long with green top and undersides. Most leaves are directed upwards and may reflex as they age. Mature, it is a very attractive and easy to grow Alocasia. It seems to winter over here fine here along the coast. Leaves stems are dark but not black. Also note the wavy texture to the leaves. To hide a fence or building, these would work fine. We have nice 15 gallon on special. The garden photo is c/o Austin Botany website.
