It’s been a while since I’ve presented this customer favorite – the Birdsnest Fern, Asplenium nidus. They are an ideal understory plant for the garden floor but can also be grown inside the home or in a patio area. Leaves are green and shiny. They want filtered light and ample water. Like most ferns, you don’t want them to go dry. A large specimen plant could have a crown spread of six or seven feet. You have to keep snails away from them. The plants on special are nice 5 gallon plants. These can be mail ordered.
