This is a unique variety of Butia capitata that has a nice blue color. Otherwise, it’s quite similar to the regular green Pindo Palm. This palm loves full hot sun and can take down to 15 degrees F. Growth rate is medium. Presently we only have 25 gallon sized plants that are not the “bluest” we’ve had but still showing blue color and are very large plants. Almost everyone that doesn’t get severe cold can grow this palm. Garden photo by Paul Craft.
