This South African cycad is one of the most sought after cycads in the world. It is a smaller cycad that, after many decades, can get two feet of trunk and an overall height of five to six feet counting the leaves. Leaf color is intensely blue in the sun. It wants full sun for optimal growth along the coast. In the desert, a few hours of sun is adequate. Cold tolerance is about 22 degrees F. Below this will need cold protection.
