THIN TRUNKS – MEDIUM HEIGHT
WILL TAKE A BIT OF COASTAL SUN
This New World suckering shade palm has pinnate leaves and never gets much above ten to twelve feet tall. This is the reason it’s so popular. It’s not my favorite suckering Chamaedorea, but it has always been one of the most popular species of Bamboo Palms by growers and designers. It can fit inside the home if you have high ceilings. Outdoors, it wants filtered light and is cold hard into the mid, perhaps lower 20’s F. The 25 gallon shown here is about 12 to 15 year old and twelve feet tall – mature maximal height. It seems like we’ve been growing it forever. I know of no other nursery offering plants of this size.
