TOLERATES FULL SUN ALONG THE COAST
SMALLER COLORFUL COMPANION PLANT
There are many species of the genus Tritonia. I believe it’s also known as Crocosmia. I don’t know the species name for the variety we’re offering. Tritonia are native to Southern Africa, especial in the Cape area. Plants have “iris-like” flat leaves. They do sucker making a small clump. Mature plant height is 2 to 3 feet with upright flowering stalks above the foliage and with many orange flowers. This species tolerates coastal full sun or part sun. It can be grown in part day sun. Cold tolerance is estimated to be in the mid-twenties F. I don’t have photos presently of garden specimens. We’re putting nice 5 gallon plants on sale.
These can be shipped. Limited numbers available. |
